Lucid Records

Lucid Records is an independent record label in Deerfield, Illinois, run by Chris Broach of Braid, The Firebird Band, & L' Spaerow.
== Overview ==
The label was started in 2002 with The Blackouts' debut album ''Everyday is a Sunday Evening''. The label was originally conceived of as a way for Chris Broach to release his own projects (including his solo material, L'Spaerow, Life at Sea, and The Firebird Band). When friend and bandmate John Isberg joined The Blackouts, the decision was made to extend the label's reach to other talented and deserving artists. These were artists that were going unnoticed and underappreciated in their own home towns and with local labels. Lucid stepped in to help these artists to be given a fair deal and to get their music represented.
Lucid has put out albums for indie artists across the country and is expanding its reach to artists outside of the USA. Currently including Lokbrá and The Blakhiv from Iceland.
In 2007, the addition of Jason Gruen as the first full time employee has helped to continue to expand the label's reach and goals.
Lucid Records is exclusively distributed by the Lumberjack Mordam Music Group.
June 26, 2007 Lucid Records hosted their first ever Lucid Records Showcase in Chicago, Illinois at The Note. It included Chris Broach (of The Firebird Band) in his first solo show in almost 4 years, Thunderlip, and The International Theatre of War (feat. John Isberg – formerly of The Firebird Band and The Blackouts) who also played with Chris Broach.
